Overview

This page shows all details of the event: dates, venue or online access, description, conditions, ticket sales (if offered) and the acts already booked. “Offered by” names the organizer; clicking the card opens their artist, band or organizer profile. If you created the event yourself, an “Edit” button appears next to “Share”, and a banner marks drafts and closed events.

Hybrid events (venue + livestream) show the venue under “Event location” and embed the stream in its own “Livestream” section where the platform allows it.

Details card: Date (with the date title, if any), doors, location and repertoire. Soundcheck, compensation, benefits, deadline and the terms link are shown to logged-in members only. “PRO Badge Required” means only acts with a PRO badge can apply. Dates marked “🏆 Final round” are not open for applications; their participants qualify in the earlier rounds.

Share: The Share button copies the short link of the event or hands it to WhatsApp, Facebook, email or — on mobile — your system share sheet.

Buy Tickets: The ticket box in the sidebar sells tickets directly — “Pay by card” (card/SEPA) or PayPal, redeem discount codes. Your tickets arrive by email; “My tickets & receipts” takes you to your purchases. If a discount code brings your total to zero, the payment buttons are replaced by “Order for free” — you still receive proper tickets. If the organizer grants a discount for a particular payment method, a line under the total names the method and the amount you save.

Availability: The box and the date cards show the availability of the selected date: tickets available, only a few left, sold out, or the date when presale starts. The number you can order at once is limited by the organizer and by the remaining stock. The Details card lists the presale and box-office prices where both exist: the presale price applies online up to the day before the event; on the event day online presale closes and tickets are only available at the box office (“Box office only”).

More Dates: Events with several dates list them as cards below the page — with date and time, voting state and ticket status (slots and deadline are shown to logged-in members). Clicking a date card switches the whole page to that date: Details card, lineup, results and ticket box all follow it; the shown date stays in the list marked “Selected”. Cancelled dates are greyed out with a “Cancelled” badge and cannot be selected. For competitions, a “Vote” link appears on dates whose voting is scheduled or running.

Past dates: Finished dates are collected under “🏁 Past dates”. The section is collapsed by default and lists, per date, the event period, whether results are available and who won.

Lineup: The “Lineup” shows the acts booked for the date currently selected. Clicking an act opens the text that act submitted for this very appearance — not its current profile text; a link at the bottom of the dialog leads to the live profile. Profiles that are not public are only clickable for logged-in members.

Competition entry

Competition events use a 3-step wizard instead of the plain application dialog. You can enter as a solo musician and/or with your bands — every selected act submits its own entry. If the “Apply Now” button stays greyed out, the line underneath says why: not logged in, PRO badge required, deadline passed, no free slots, voting already started, guest accounts on a members-only event, or an application that already exists. Once you have applied, the status of your application for the date currently shown appears under the button (per act).

• Step 1 — Dates: Choose the date(s) and who competes. A warning triangle shows which act still has gaps — everything except a band’s lineup can be completed right in the wizard. In the matrix, symbols mark combinations you cannot pick: 🚫 deadline passed, 🔒 voting has started or PRO badge missing, — no slots left, and a status icon where you have already applied; columns say “Waiting list” when only waiting-list places are left.
• Step 2 — Your act: Act/band name, photo (JPG, max. 5 MB), promotext, mobile number, Instagram, website, genres, instruments (solo) or lineup (bands) and — for live and hybrid competitions — the tech rider. Where your profile differs, “use this” buttons take the profile value; changes here are saved back to your profile after a confirmation.
• Step 3 — Your entry: Per act: a song or video link with a live preview (or your profile teaser), the repertoire, the rights confirmation and an optional message to the organizer. Where the organizer reports to GEMA, you also enter your setlist — at least one title with its original artist.
• Several acts: Steps 2 and 3 show one tab per act with a status icon (checkmark = complete, triangle = needs work). “Next” jumps to the next incomplete act; “Submit” only appears when all acts are complete.
• Organizer questions: If the organizer asks questions, each question becomes its own step at the end of the wizard; required questions must be answered before you can continue.
• Participation terms: If the organizer provides participation terms, you confirm them right before submitting. A participation fee, if any, is shown on the event page; if it is collected up front, submitting takes you straight to the payment page. Applying requires system email notifications — if they are off, a dialog offers to switch them on.

Jury: If jury voting is enabled, the jury members are presented in their own section on the page.

Results: As soon as the organizer has published the results of a date, its podium is shown at the top of the page — below it, where the organizer allows, the full ranking, the acts that were not rated (jury quorum missed), and the jury and audience rankings side by side. A line above the podium says how the result came about (jury, audience, runoff), and tied places show the tie-break points the organizer awarded.

Voting per date: The sidebar and the date cards show the voting state of each date — scheduled (with start and end), running (with its end), paused or finished. If you arrive from the old Song Slam site with an expired voting access, a notice appears at the top; use the “Vote” link on the date you want to vote on.

Not a member yet? The organizer allows entries from non-members: “Take part” also works without an MMDB account. A short dialog asks whether you already have an account, then a form creates a guest account (solo or band/formation) — with act photo (mandatory), contact person, media link, repertoire and, for live events, the tech rider. You confirm it by email and set a password; afterwards you manage your entry like a member. The button disappears for a date once its voting has started. System emails (status, organizer messages, login links) are required for taking part; community emails are optional.
