MMDB Community Update
Last Monday we officially declared the service open and are happy to see that the user base is growing. We are now already hosting 61 Musicians and 43 Bands/Projects from the community. So go out and spread the word motivating others to join!
Find your next band/project or member!
Since today there is a new and exciting feature: Suggestions.
Have you ever been in the situation where you suddenly needed a new bass player? Or you are a singer looking out for a band or project to join? With just a few clicks you’ll be getting Suggestions in the Bands/Projects Manager.
Here’s how it works:
Band/Project looking for members:
- In the band profile you created, set Looking for members to yes.
- Pick existing instruments or skills you’re looking for from the database.
- Press Save.
Musician looking to join Bands/Projects:
- Fill out your profile with your skills and instruments.
- Navigate to Bands/Profiles.
- If there are any Bands/Projects looking for people with your skills or instruments, you’ll find it here.
- You’ll see if the genre of the band or project matches one or more of your favored genres.
- Get in touch directly from the suggestion or dismiss the suggestion if it’s not for you.
- And the best thing: You can subscribe to a mailing list that will send you new suggestions, if there are any, on a daily basis.
Finding new band mates has never been so easy! And always remember: The more people we gather in the database, the higher the chances!
